Pre-made mantel shelves
We offer the shelving shown below, in standard five or six feet lengths, for immediate order. The shelf is available in either oak or poplar. These mantels are currently built, or are imminently scheduled to be built, and can be delivered to your home, usually within one week. We do offer free delivery in the Livingston County area, and can deliver to surrounding counties (Oakland, Wayne, and Washtenaw) for a small fee. Due to the weight of these shelves, we do not offer shipping at this time. Installation is not included in the cost of the mantels, however, we do offer professional installation for an additional fee. Full surround, or custom shelf
Full surround mantels are not a stock item. We build each one to your exact specifications, including a choice of wood, and various design elements.
Custom shelf mantels, in lengths differing from our pre-made five or six foot lengths, are also not stock items, and are built to your exact specifications. Custom mantels can range in price from a simple style, for just a few hundred dollars, all the way up to two-story mantels with hand-carved design elements, ranging in the thousands of dollars. To give you the most accurate estimate, and to discuss the design style that you desire, we offer a free consulation, at your convenience, to look through pictures and to take specific measurements.

Instructions for ordering a pre-made mantel shelf:
Our pre-made mantel shelves come in one style (pictures shown below.) They are available in two lengths, 5' and 6'. The mantel is solid and very heavy. If you plan on installing it yourself, please ask us about appropriate hardware to support it, we are happy to advise you. If you prefer to have us professionally install it for you, please contact us for a price prior to placing your order. We do not take payments on our site, so payment will be due upon delivery or pick-up.
This sample shelf was painted and distressed to give it a vintage look. Please note that your order will be in an unfinished state, so that you can paint or stain it to your achieve your own desired effect.
This mantel shelf displayed here is a sample size only. The actual lengths will be five or six feet, depending on your requirements. Five foot shelves are $150 and six foot shelves are $175. All shelves are UNFINISHED. These pictures are for display only, and were used as a sample for a customer who requested a distressed and vintage-looking shelf. The photos do show you the width and beauty of these mantel shelves.
